Third in the "Balloon" series.
Attaching the net and the papier-mâché balloon to the canvas was more difficult than expected. The artist created the background by spreading modeling paste to achieve a textured surface. But it cracked. To fix her 'oops', she covered the surface with resin, setting butterflies into the resin and swirling alcohol ink in before it cured. She added as many butterflies as she could fit.
